The Writing Revolution - What's the Difference?
The main principles of the writing revolution are that students actually need explicit instruction in writing, beginning in the early years. The idea that sentences are king, they're the building blocks of all writing. When embedded in the content of learning and the areas of the curriculum, writing instruction is a powerful teaching and thinking tool. In the two most important phases of the writing process are planning and revising.
