The Serio, Hagata, and the Bosnian Civil War
In the New Yorker story, which I'm relying on heavily here, the Corquettes daughter actually seems a little bit put off to become a, a press conference. You know, she's just trying to get out of Macedonia live and suddenly Netanyahu's there saying, we are closing a great circle in the state of Israel. And then suddenly she hears Serbo Croatian for the, you know, she hears her home language. Mira Popo son Davor, who had brought his mom to the kibbutz in the 70s, comes out of the crowd and gives her a big hug. She actually does feel, feel a little bit at home.
