What Is a Super Luminous Super Nova?

The universe is the greatest story ever told. But there are a lot of interesting signals coming to us from the universe out there. And you know about stars and galaxies and black holes, but even very bright events like super Nova. There are some things in the universe that are even brighter than your typical super Nova. What is a super luminous super Nova? I'm guessing it's super, but is it super duper? Only when it takes off its glasses.
