Tyler: There was no single event that made us want to pivot tonally i think it was just that we've done a really great job of this kind of hellish onion skin. We delighted in that nihilism the final boss fight one clicks your characters you have to choose who to sacrifice, he says. Tyler: You can sort of capriciously dance through nihilism for a while but i don't know that you want to just live there forever and so we just got kind of jazzed about seeing how we could tell like a grounded but still a affirmative kind of story in that space. The world is the dungeon um the self is the dungeon and uh you can cling to each other
