The book argues that Christianity Today as flagship evangelical opinion forming publication, assumed an atomistic metaphysic in how it presented the idea of sin. And over decades, it consistently put forward that sin is something that comes about through personal individual decisions. So I think that the fall side of this chapter is really helpful in shaping, maybe shaking up a lot of evangelical, common, or widely held evangelical assumptions about what sin is and how it works out.
