The Excess Cost of Multiple Payers in Healthcare
The excess cost of having multiple payers versus the benefit was $145 billion a year. When doctors start owning the supply how their utilization changes and so when a doctor buys an X-ray machine or a CAT scanner like they use a lot more of it. So you just see really interesting economic things that happen that show that kind of profit maximization at every level. We still have real problems with medical inflation and we haven't improved quality as much as I would have hoped now.
