I feel like email alerts are where alerts go to die. It might as well not exist properly. I have gotten sorted some email alerts before. They're interesting. And the criteria that we've used is, okay, if this alert fires on Friday evening at 5 p.m., will you have enough time to react and prevent it from becoming a major outage in the next 48 hours? Like, is it actually okay if it waits till Monday? You need that 48-hour window.
