Mediaeval Torture Devices
i have a vivid memory of when i was 11 or 12, my family went to sydney. The king's cross wax museum had an exhibit of mediaeval torture devices. As a middle schooler, i was extremely fascinated by this. And honestly, i think it's what i most remember of all of sydney,. So that's worrying. That feels like it might undermine the entire concept of the middle ages as a time when everyone was just torturing each other.
