The Three Family Groupings of Elf

The Vanyar, the Noldor and the Telary are three family groupings. Not family, more like Kindred. Clans would be good at putting it. Some sort of a... Tribes, yeah. I think clan probably works well. But the way to think about elves overall, there's a primary split that's binary that's really easy to think about. You've got Kalekwendy and Moraquendy. It's every elf can be fit into one slot or the other. If you didn't go, if you didn't get there in time, if you never saw the light of the trees, then you're MoraquendY.
