The Importance of Time Boxes in Kanban
Kanban could be a complex technique, but not if it represents itself as cards. There's nothing wrong with time boxes. In the obvious domain of Kanban, you use waterfall techniques. We can actually automate the mapping onto Kanban. So we basically gather stories about day-to-day reality which people put into high abstraction metadata. And from that we can compute a mapping which then has to be human validated. It's got to be based on scaffolding and I think that's probably one of the most important concepts we've come out with in the last few years.
