The Advantages of Multivariate Modeling
The idea that you're accommodating measurement error and targeting growth in the actual construct I think is very attractive. There is a dirty little secret about the MLM though. Do tell anybody if you don't tell anybody. The missing data applies to the Y side of the model, not the X side part of the model. It is much more elegantly handled in the SEM.
