i was reminded in all this of a karl sagin's approach to ancient aliens and ancient astronods, clarly in the book that he co outhered with e joseph sklowsky. Sagin's treatment reminds me of the treatment given in this paper by these authors. There's certainly nothing wrong with that. It's when you start arguing that your art is scienceah, that's where you can get into some troublea.
