The First World War and the Intelligence Story

During the First World War, Kaiser Wilhelm II's hotel was used as a hospital. The British Army took it over for the duration of the war and built temporary structures in their Seattle base. A small intelligence detachment were also looking after recovering soldiers who had been fighting on the Western Front at the time. It is now a four star deluxe hotel with 331 rooms - but no pool or sauna due to its size and shape.
