The Politics of Congress
The word politics has come to have such an ugly connotation for so many people that the idea that it should be anywhere in our system comes to seem not so intuitive. The image I often use, which is sort of inspired somewhat from Ben Sasse's seven minute schoolhouse rock thing at the beginning of the Kavanaugh hearings, is that Congress is where politics is supposed to happen. If politics happens there, it doesn't spill out into the rest of the country.
