I Am to See Captain Lewis
French fur trapper Euchrin speaks the hedotsa language and offers his services as an interpreter for a handsome sum. Lewis regarded sharbono as an inept coward and never warmed to him, but after sharbono begged for forgiveness he became fond of him. The expedition would need horses, but of course if they wanted horses They needed to buy them from the shoshone people who lived near the mountains. Without the sashone's help the core of discovery would never get past the Rockies.
