The Value of Giving People a Space to Think

i've had two other conversations with an argument kind of like this one, where i was talking with somebody who accepted every premise. And she looked at me, this was back in braduat school, and she said that it was frustrating to her. I think there's something valuable about kind of giving people a sort of freedom so you kind of think things through. It doesn't even mean thathey'll necessarily see it your way in the end, but it's just a way of respecting people and kind of giving tt them that space to process the ideas from their perspective somea.
