Is Organic Organic?

The organic standard was created long before we had synthetic pesticides. It was created around synthetic nitrogen, making it hopelessly out of date. As long as they're naturally occurring biocides, you can use them a copper sulphater soil and bacterium baccillus thuringiensis. These things kill insects, but since you find them in nature, they're ok for organic and they're not completely harmless.
