The Near Campaign

I ask you why you wrote the book that when you did. And there's several things one was that I had entirely with exception of very closely following the war in the Balkans, had almost no interest in politics as an undergraduate. But I was interested in the ideas and by my last year at a university of actually reading the paper every day. The near campaign is which is a word that I now regard as being almost unusable. It means so many things and so many bad things to most people. It's just one of those words you sort of have to give up.
