The Role of MicroRNA in Age-Related Macular Degeneration
The most common form of age-related macular degeneration has no known cure or treatment. Dan O'Donnell: MicroRNA regulates multiple genes from the same pathway, and this is why they are so powerful. He says a particular microRNA called one-two-four was far and wide the most abundant and active microRNA that we found in the retina. The next step is to carefully analyze all of the targets that this one- two-four are active control.
