The Interpretive Perspective of the Biblical Authors

David is the king of Deuteronomy 17, who knows the Bible and the red numbers chapter. So what we see David doing is reflecting on the end of numbers 10. And then he's applying the works that God did to Israel in the past. We should see these as typological of the way that the Lord's going to deliver us.
