How Can We Solve This Problem in English?
There are only, depending on accent, around forty four different sounds in spoken english. If we invented a writining system for that to morrow, we'd probably just come up with forty four symbols represent those sounds on a wante one basis. English is written on the phonemic level. Itt is a language that represents phonimes. We have to teach children to read using phonies,. That's how the language, the written language, is put together. This brings me on to the key point, which is phonix. Phonix is any attempt to teach children those correspondences and skills of blending and segmenting. Any attempt to do that is phonyx.
