The Justice Department Should Offer Trump a Plea Deal
If Trump is facing a legal situation in which things don't look good for him, should the Justice Department offer him a plea deal that includes trading away the threat of jail time? The answer is no. Not even if it's documented and put in writing in black and white, Trump will tell his people: You see what they did to me? It was their idea. They wanted me not to run for office. Well, I had to take the deal because I had to be here available to do your bidding. And I'm here even though I'm no longer in public office. I'm here and I'm your guy. Why didn't Agnew try that against you guys?
