Azizah says her new book is meant to destabilize and add to some of the current histories of AIDS which are really told from a sort of male perspective. She would love it if progressives could return to that place of skepticism around science but not reflexively just assume that all science is good, she adds. Azizah: We should always defer to the people that we have decided are the good experts instead recognize that the scientific decisions that are being made are imbued with political choices and those political choices have consequences well that seems like a perfect note to end on so thank you so much Azizah this is really wonderful to have you!
