Are You Competitively Motivated in Pursuing an End Goal?
Some of it is competitively driven. I'm a voracious reader. And when I meet somebody that is telling me something that they've read and I don't know anything about it, I get information anxiety. So I'm very intellectually competitive and I just want to connect ideas. If I'm going in to meet somebody in a deeply technical area, I might spend weeks or a month talking to the best people in the space so that I can more impressively communicate with somebody. It's the same thing if I'm talking to somebody in the financial markets and it's a more complex topic. The fluidity of being able to just converse about pretty much any topic is something that
