The Commerce Clause
In the late eighteenth century, in fact, all the way through to the twentieth century, i wasn't like that. All the states had their own banks and their own bills, different sizes, colors. And so what the government decided to do is to say, eight wer jst, can use one bill. Its can be so much easier. This is one of the ways the government was going to pull all these different states together. The commerce clause is a pre existing thing? Oh yes. It's in the us constitution. But it's never been really thought about her or where? Where is it in the minds of people at eight? Do you know where? Nowhere.
