The Importance of Risk in Journalism
I think what it did as a science journalist, and I've reported on stories for about 20 years, it changed the way I reported because I would always be reporting about something happening over there. And this was reporting on stuff that was making me lie awake at night. So I do think it made me and a lot of other writers in the UK and the US suddenly understand what it's like when you're in the crisis. That's really interesting. I guess that just changes the framework within which you work moving forward. Absolutely.
