If you look at a dolphin skull, you can see a very clear bony separation inside. And I think it still has two fleshy openings that can close up and everything. Once again, my mental image of a whale is that the blowhole is halfway back the body. Which it isn't. That is not true. They're farther back than it feels like it should be. Well, and I think that's a great way to also emphasize how weird the big whales are. Their heads are so massively boat-shaped in size. Like those weird big-mouth frogs where the head ends somewhere, but you can't see where it is. No. It's just head to body
