The Role of Dopamine in Decision Making

Dopamine is a collection of just 22 atoms, and it has since been found to have an important role in decision making. Dopamine receptors that are sensitive to that chemical go bananas when they encounter it. When dopamine is released, it sets off through these dopamine receptors, the signal that our decision or our action was good because something good happened as a result.
