The Normal Progression of Drug Use
The onset of withdrawal varies by a bunch of things, the type of opioid, the timing of last use. It can occur as early I've seen infants having withdrawal at the time of birth to several days out. For almost all of them, the treatment is supportive anyway. So it really doesn't change. But you know, what we sometimes think we see is we'll see peaks of withdrawal clinical signs based upon different substances like we might see a nicotine peak first followed by an opioid. That is not terribly uncommon.
