The Freedom to Read
Bob Greene recalls when he was a kid before the days of expiry dates. He and his friends used to eat baked beans out in the bush with no date on them. They forgot about it for more than a year two years I think. And then they thought we'll go back. We got to go back there and find those beans. Sure enough they were there under a rock or wherever we put them. It wasn't an effect that caused us to be sick. But I always remembered that whenever I see expiry dates I think well I wonder whether they would have had an expiry date on those beans.
