The Mormon Church, the LDS Church, Is Incredibly Decentralized.
The Mormon church has a hierarchical priesthood structure, but it's also incredibly decentralized. The churches themselves are presided over by lay bishops and volunteer ministries. They have these bishop storehouses where they have tons of foodstuffs. Every Mormon is supposed to have like 90 days of canned goods in case of emergency.
