In 19 forty eight, a supreme court case made enforcing covenants illegal. But because of the practical difficulty in enforcing this, covenants would go on to be practised well beyond that court date. For black folks in kansas city, the plaza was a symbol of white eletism. And other real estate moguls of other exclusive blossoming communities followed suit,. leading to more segregation, inequality and a gap in equity and resources for minorities trying to into the real estate world and build generational wealth.
