A w s is a lot of services that provide a web to platform for games and other services. And they're mostly adding services that you pay the central company for. A i would look at polygon as a real ecosystem, right? They provide the polygon layer to solution on top of etherium. Then there are other services that people can build without polygon permission which add value to any one using the ecosystem. Even though there's an originator of the ecosystem, they don't own it; they actively want other people to add on to it.
