A Brief Introduction to Stitching and Diction Stitch
A picture-intense stitch is even more foolish than a picture in mosaic. It cannot come anywhere near to pictorial effect. The tesseré will pronounce themselves and spoil it. Florentine, Parisian, Hungarian, Spanish, Moorish, Kashmir, Milanese, Goblin are only a few of them. But they stand as a rule, rather for stitch arrangements than for stitches.
