The Values of Customer Service
Culture is really your company's religion, and like real religions, people will vigorously debate their world view. It is not founders who dominate culture; it is the critical mass of people who believe in a particular way of making decisions. Once you defined your values, you must take time to help employes understand them. You can create product principles, recruiting principles that give you more specific guidance to a particular domain. And then rituals are the working rhythms. We ask our teams to recite our product principles before each product review. This has been a magical ritual for us.
