When he was at Home Depot, all development teams had their own design system. It didn't matter so much what tools you were working with: You could expect a similar user flow. At Figma, where TJ and I work, it's a lot less standardized because we have fewer sites. We still have prescribed fonts and color schemes but they're more to the style guide than anything else.
