In the 20th century when people begin to invent the future or look for the future, they tend to be at least in the first half of the century optimistic. There is nothing about what will happen in a newspaper from that period. Whereas if you look at a newspaper today, it will have forecasts which are economic, meteorological, but also it will tell you about what medicines are likely to come on the mark because of new breakthroughs. So we have a constant dialogue with the future. And it is that point which I think focuses in on this seminal moment in 1968 where we saw the Earth from outer space and we understand that it doesn’t matter which face you are part of
