How to Protect Yourself From Rising Rents

The article claimed that if you rent, I mean if you buy, you can protect yourself from rising rents. Now this is outright fraud. If a brokerage firm tried to market something like this, the SEC or FINRA would be all over them. But apparently the government doesn't have any rules when it comes to real estate.
