The Problem With the Hockey Chip in the Puck
There is currently a chip in the puck that provides information to the NHL and all teams about stats. There are also chips in the back of every player's jersey which can be activated by cutting open an NHL puck. The one camera at the base of the net was blown up when it couldn't see through Bob Marleau, who had his head turned around so he could see under him. This technology exists but scouting the refs said they were not satisfied with its accuracy.
