The Principles of the United Community
The community lived in Putney, Vermont, until they were run out of town. John Humphrey Noise coined the term free love but it was really not free because he controlled pretty much everything. One of the major rules in the Oneida community is that men were not allowed to have an orgasm. Another rule was don't talk much and don't spend the night together.
