Slavery Is a Slow Moving Holocaust

South Carolina at the Constitutional Convention in 1787 was the most intransigent of all of the southern states. And they basically said, if you touch slavery, if you so much as frown at slavery, we're out and we will never have a union. I think what Lawrence came to is that the slave trade is even worse than slavery. Slavery has its problems, but theslave trade is just like a slow moving holocaust.
