Interdependence

CHAPTER

Is There a Difference Between a Collector and a Patron?

Ino senceth: decentralization can create just as many problems as centralization does, but just different ones. He says the bigger point here is giving artists some agency to pursue an economy around what they do and not arbitrarily capping that. In a music context, we don't know an artist, certainly don't get to participate in the value share of people who are spending five grand on drinks for everyone at one festival. But if you figure out really clear lines of remuneration and attribution, so that any of the value that is being created at that moment will go back to the artists rate, seems to me to be a very defensible, defensible position.
