The Benefits of Tomo Synthesis for the Hip
Tomo synthesis sounds like it's from Star Trek and not a real thing. I can't remember when I've seen something on that sort of scan of the x-ray that I haven't seen on the plain x-ray. In my experience, it hasn't added that much value. A lot of the time the fracture is clear cut. It absolutely doesn't help. And even with a hip, I think I saw one and I showed it to one of our surgeon'ssubjects where these tomo's made a difference. And he's like, yeah, that's the only one I've ever seen too.
