Justinian's Contribution to World History

In 527, Justinian collected and codified Roman law. He asked a legal team to condense these centuries of edicts down into a single collection of volumes. The Corpus Juris Civilis formed the basis of modern states law codes. It still affects a lot of the legal code in the daughter states of the Byzantine Empire. This episode is about how he shaped not just his own empire's history, but also world history too.
