Do You Get to Smooth Your Returns in Private Equity?
Private equity provides the illusion of lower volatility. It strikes me as more volatile based on the description you providet. But if you're smoothing your urns, and you go, do get to smooth your returns in private equity? I don't get to smooth my returns. You'd almost never hear about the various bankrupts thes in the business where the equity was wiped out. They sit at the top of the mountain d you might say, gee, they must be kind of lonely up there. But they have many friends that help them perpetuate this fantasy.
