Artificial Retina Algorithm: A New Approach to Pattern Recognition

Our brains and our retinas are really good at just ignoring a lot of the stuff which doesn't appear to be of any relevance. Our challenge is to sift out that one happening every hour or two from the 40 million things going on every second. Once you haven't recorded the data, it's lost. You could be missing out on understanding vast ways of the universe. This artificial retinal algorithm is one of the latest steps in our mission to do that.
