Finding Your Voice Is the Meeting of Craft and Lava
I don't know if it's finding your voice so much as just using your voice and trusting it you have a point of view. I was working with an Australian writer once and the dad character was really flat and in my mind I'm thinking well we should just cut him out but when talking to him I realized oh it's all sitting in my dad it's like the brain had flattened that character out almost like don't look over there that's just a cliche. The more questions you ask, the more lava starting to rise up right? And sometimes if you get a huge reaction like a big fuck you you are right on it because they do not want to talk about that and that
