Building an Ethics Worldview on the Basis of Personal Preferences

I would hope that in whatever society I create, there's going to be some type of virtues that all of us kind of hold to and try to uphold irrespective of if we get caught or not. But I don't really know if I expect the average person to do that. This is why I usually advocate for some level of social dynamics or some level of governmental pressure to kind of keep people in line.
