The Rise and Fall of the Manhattan Project

In the early days of the Manhattan Project as an official thing, there were some tensions that were already building up between the scientific community and the Army. The scientists weren't entirely happy with the way Marshall was running things. So in September 1942, the Army decides to replace Marshall with Colonel Leslie R. Groves who after six days after becoming the head of the project had become a Brigadier General.
