How to Down Regulate Your Parasympathetic Response
A lot of stress within their face and in that states where they're hijacked, so they moved into an up regulated space. The last piece after you have done this check in is beginning to use somatic exercises to down regulate back into the parasympathetic nervous system. One of the best things that I usually share with people is to use something called the box breath - inhaling for four, pause for four, exhale for four,pause for four. And what happens when you do this over again four or five minutes is that it helps to reduce your heart rate.
